Northwest Rail Link Bid Sustainability Strategy

norwest-railway-station-artists-impressionEdge Environment provided sustainability consulting services to Theiss, Leighton Contractors and John Holland for the three infrastructure packages of the $8bn Northwest Rail Link.

Our role was to develop a sustainability strategy that responded to the ambitious performance targets and requirements of the project set by Transport for NSW. Works included energy and water modelling, carbon footprinting, sustainable design advice for stations, climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategy, life cycle costing, life cycle analysis, sustainable procurement advice, and strategy to achieve ratings under the ISCA Infrastructure Sustainability rating scheme, the GBCA Green Star rating scheme and the NABERS rating scheme.
